i have this ongoing issue with some vibration coming from the drive line for the past few months. the dealership have replaced the rear end, carrier bearing, and the overdrive unit. with all of this replaced, the vibration was still there, well after all this they finally figure out that i have a bent axle shaft. i said thank for the new parts but they dont wanna replace the shaft under warranty. So does anybody have some good axle shafts with straight flanges. thanks,

Marius

They replaced the pumpkin, just new gears and so

yeah they where just guessing and changing parts in hope of fixing the problem, it won't look good to there boss after doing all that other work that after all it wasn't fixed. those weren't mechanics those are parts changers.;)

Whats their explanation for not warranting the axle shaft??

they said it was wear and tear, that i hit something, they said it wasnt covered. But the manager made me a deal that if i buy the part he would put it in for free (no labor charge). they want 300 bucks just for one side or do they come in pairs, i dont know

Bullshit he knows he is in the wrong, thats why he offered the free labor. trust me;)

Yea, it never made the ticking noise until i picked up the truck from them, then returned it because they dint fix the problem. then they came to the conclusion about the axle shaft.
