...I found a 2004 RC with 21000 miles on it. It already has a Pace Edwards electric bed cover, K&N kit, headers, Magnaflow, dropped in the rear. Never been smoked in. It has some minor paint defects from the older gentlemen and a garage. Just surface scratches. I can get this truck for 22,000. Should I? TIA

$22K is nice. You will be putting a couple of thousand in after the purchase:

CenterForce Clutch, Viper slave and master, Boomers Gen X, cat delete and MagnaFlow, at a minimum.

I would bet it is still on oem rubber, so four new tires. You will want Boomers lowering kit and a shift light too.

Just go in understanding the side issues. You will also soon want Caltracs, shaved calipers and either slicks or street radials...

The RC is a different animal from the QC and the items mentioned above are all almost standard equipment if you want to enjoy the ride. Do the math up front.

dont you rember the ride in my old RC, its totally a different ride, I would buy that one and have fun at the track:rock:

okay i just talked the guy and he forgot to mention it has a rebuilt title. It had a new front end put on at 12,000 miles. How bout that great deal now. He said i am more than welcome to bring it to my shop and have it checked out. What should i look for other than wear on the tires and how it drives?

Why was the front end done at 12,000 mi? Sounds a little fishy to me.

the original owner wrecked it. i believe it has had some frame work done. The guy that owns it now says he had it professionally checked when he bought it and everything was straight. I have a front end alignment machine that i can check it on tomorrow. but is it worth the $$$$$?

Now we are getting somewhere. Was all this info. presented to you, Or did you have to dig for it? Did they cut the front end off,Or what. I think i would walk away from this one.

It was given to me. I think I am going to go get it in the morning and drive it and check it out on a lift.

Cool, But it's starting to sound like i hit a deer at 100 mph.:dontknow:

hit 3rd take it up to about 100 mph:burnout: :burnout:

Seriously, I need to know if this truck sounds worth test driving or should I just quit while I am ahead? I am planning on selling my wife's Sequoia and giving her the QC.

if youre already having to ask youreself these questions, then its probaly best to step away, the only way I would get it is to take it to the track

No, not with rebuilt title. The title will say rebuilt forever. No matter how nice it is you don't know what happened to it. :dontknow:

i don't see where it can hurt buying it if everything checks out okay. I don't plan on selling it. If I sold one it would be the QC so my wife can buy what she wants.
