I found out about this stuff thru another local trucking company that did some long term test with them. But supposedly it works really well. All of thier trucks went over 1 million miles without internal engine problems plus they gained on the average 1.8 mpg. I know we have all heard the miracle stories about engine snake oils, but supposedly this was actually developed for NASA. And just recently released to the public. but I am curious as to what everyone thinks. They get into the molecular properties and its over my head

Hmmm. Reading through the tests and files it would seem that the stuff works. Wonder if it would void any engine warrente we have. Better power and fuel milage would be great though. 34 bucks for a bottle... one time application. Might be worth it...

Great point. But then they are probably lobbied by the oil comapnies to not use it. Big oil has their hands in everything it seems.

Seemed to be a lot of corporations using the stuff though. And if it is such a great thing the automakers should be using it as well.

Well what sold me is the trucking company close to here used it and had great results from it, I think one of thier vendors is close to the house , may try to get ahold of him.

There is credibility if a scientific test was done with it such as the trucking company.I didn`t read the details of the test or how the test data was gathered.

There are gains to be made in varying viscosity on motor oils,lubricants ,other fluids.Mostly the gains are more significant in high HP modified engines.

The auto makers dont want their vehicles to last forever. They make good money from maint and service. If the public thinks a vehicles drivetrain should only last 100,000 miles , then why deliver a product that can last 150 - 200,000 miles ?

Keeps people coming back to the showroom.....There are a few bullet proof vehicles out there but they arent pretty and definitely no fast

Thats just it, automakers develop their vehicles to only last so long.
I know teflon used to be a great addititive, but didnt last long, especially in severe duty, thats why I'm hoping Boomer can check on this. If it seems it could work out, I can give them a call and see what they can do.

Plus the cost involved per vehicle. To a manufacturer who sells 500,000 units a year X 20.00 more for lube,thats 10,000,000.00 dollars saved a year just on oil.

dude, i dont have an honest answer for you. just running synthetic oil, is really the best as, once you have established oil pressure the film itself keeps the rotating & recipricating partsl from touching eachother. the only thing i WOULD reccomend is an accusump, to eliminate dry start ups, then you can see the oil pressure, as at start up is when 1/2 of your engine wear occurs.

Or just add the BMW castol 10-60 for the m3 AND M5 engines... I get 75psi what seems instantly...Ohh and sorry to burst your bubble stink, but most trucks that receive good maint will go a mil before an overhaul is needed. Dads 91frieght on is 900k and hasnt missed a beat or had any internal motor work besides valve adjustments. Just run good syn oil and change da sum bitch

Well bro tru and untrue, yu get good oil pressure because it is 60 wt, that is almost gear oil weight very very thick.
And it depends on which engine the rig has in it, a detroit is good for many miles, but a cat like I got is good only for 600-750,000 then you best be puttin in rods and mains, almost mandatory in frame rebuild But putting syn in a 11 gal system that is run only for 10,000 between changes is very expensive also, but majorly If I can get 1-2 mpg more from the rig ,it could save me $3-4000 or more a year, and just think if one of our QC guys could get a couple mile per gallon that would really help also.

Talked with Jack about it and he is going to check in on it also, i emailed them and talked some, but wil let Jack go from here with it.

Yeah i hear ya, different engines will have different like expectancys. If i had to pick one it would be cummins. As for the 60w, I just kind i fiqured that i try it out for the hot weather, heat tends to break oil down so i fiqured that this fully synthetic oil would be a hell of alot more consistent. One or two mpg? jk truckers would kill for ways to squeeze 1 or 2 mpg out of them

In the heat ,you are absolutly correct the heavier wieght is a big plus, less breakdown, plus it makes the engine quieter I bet And oh man! If I could get 1-2 more mpg for a $300 change of oil , once! you dang skippy
