Need some feedback on this possible exhaust set-up...

I currently have Longtube Billy Boat Headers, No Cats, and 3" Dual MagnaFlow the rest of the way out (dual in dual out magnaflow muffler).

I need to quiet it down a little bit but i dont want to loose any power if possible.

Im considering:
Removing the magnaflow muffler (it rattles bad ), installing two 3"x26" resonators after the longtubes, and putting a 3" x-pipe where the muffler was.

I understand that removing the muffler wont help me with the loudness, but i need some feedback on how much two 26" resonators will calm the sound.
Im hoping for a very unique sound as well.

What do ya think?

Personally, I'd throw on a couple 26" Powersticks, forget the X pipe and if thats still too much put a set of resonators either before or after the Powersticks.

Best sound I've heard with our V10's is with either B&B cat back or with the Powersticks. Search here for more reads, sound bites etc on the Powersticks. :rock:

When i get to a computer that has sound i will listen to those clips. I've never heard of powersticks before but they seem to be exactly what i was looking for.

well bo, all you are wanting to do is quiten down the sound a little , they shouldnt affect the sound that much, jsut bring down the resonance

Hey Psycho, I think that since you removed all 4 cats your going to end up with a loud exhaust unless you use the x-pipe, muffler, and resonator all together. Not such a large resonator of course. One question, do you know why the Magnaflow is rattling?

I have Bassani Shorty headers, catless mids and Magnaflow Catback..all 3" exhaust.....sounds great but I decided to tone it down just a bit...added Cherry Bomb GPs to the mids and she sounds exactly what I wanted..:rock:

Hey Psycho, I think that since you removed all 4 cats your going to end up with a loud exhaust unless you use the x-pipe, muffler, and resonator all together. Not such a large resonator of course. One question, do you know why the Magnaflow is rattling?

It sounds to me like a broke baffle inside of it, but then i was told that that magnaflow should be a straight through muffler, when i replace it im gonna cut it open and see whats up. I might just end up intalling

These powersticks sound amazing!! I can get the 3" inlet/outlet 26" long off of ebay for $64 ea + shipping. Im gonna see if stinker can hook me up better though

if your wanting to quite it down...go buy you some 8" glass packs and turn them backwards and us them as resanators
