Need some help; ideas you guys

I bought this Viper SRT-10 ACR BLUE SHIFT KNOB AND TALKED TO THE SELLER BEFORE I PURCHASED IT AND SAID IT WOULD FIT ON MY STOCK RAM SRT-10 HURST SHIFTER BUT IT DOESNT..... ONLY RECIEVED THE SHIFT KNOB ALONE. DONT KNOW IF THERE IS SOME TYPE OF UNIVERSAL ADAPTER I COULD GET TO INSTALL IT. THE THREADS ON THE SHIFT KNOB I BOUGHT ARE BIGGER THEN THE ONES ON MY HURST SHIFTER. THE SIZE ON THE SHIFT KNOB THREADS IS FOR LIKE 1/2 " AND THE HURST SHIFTER IS LIKE 3/8 I BELIEVE?????

Im eventually going to change to the B&M short throw shifter but im most likely going to run into the same problem so right now im trying to find an adapter

Dammit! The same thing just happened to me. I asked the seller in advance if this would fit our trucks and he said yes..... wtf? I shoulda searched, I know. Oh well, just sent dragon a PM.

The Viper car shift knob is metric thread and the truck one is standard thread.
