Ok so i found a 05 SRT10 close to my area ...its black RC with 12300 miles on it...went to the web site and the price is $32997 ...but earlier today i went to eat some food at this place where they sell some good Mexican food  ...and saw this auto mart magazine and saw that same truck but the price was $25597 :) .... So i might be going today Monday or Tuesday to check it out..so i need some advice on what to look for on this truck cuz when i did the car fax report on the web site says that it has "7 records found in our database" ..so not sure what that means   :dontknow: ..and i didn't want to paid and see the whole report ..I'm kinda cheap sometimes :D .. and what else needs to be check so i don't get any surprises ...and the links are here...

the site ...look under dodge...OF course :D

the magazine ..

and have you guys watch the trunk monkey commercials yet?? I'm sure some of you have but here they are ..

http://www.google.com/search?q=trun...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

So if everything works out well i might end it up getting it if not then I'll just wait till next year and see that price go down a lil bit more :D :D ..not sure if trade in or not.. (which i kinda don't want to but ...maybe??... thanks in Advance!!

there are some fellow members on here that have full acess to carfax, hopefully they will be albe to get you the full report. If that trucks carfax is clean, that price is a great price......good luck on your quest.

It's cool that Brat will help you out but if you are too tight to spring for the $20 for a full report you are in for a rude awakening once you start to fill the tank and buy parts for this truck.

Good luck and keep on posting -- there is a wealth of information available on here.

well i knew that was coming thats why i said "I'm kinda cheap sometimes ".. all i ask was what to look for it and what exactly the 7 reports means ..never asked "will some run a carfax report for me?" Brat was nice to Offer and i appreciate it!! ...and i know bout the gas ... i used to spend almost $200 a WEEK on my Hemi running back in fort all the time so i'm aware :D thanks though!

pm sent back to you.everything checks out great.
got it thanks!! ... so what's up with the 7 reports then?? .. can you/someone explain that to me cuz i don't know  :dontknow: :dontknow:

the seven are1.total loss 2.structural/frame damage.3 airbag deployment.4 odometer rollback.5 accident check.6 factory recalls.7 warrenty check. theses are the 7 reports that carfax checks they all checked out clean.

Sorry to bust your chops, but you left it wide open... :burnout:

I found the same thing when I was looking for mine - the dealer was asking one price on the lot but they had it listed through three other sources - each with a different price. I found the lowest one and that was my starting point.

A report is generated every time a vehicle changes hands. Could be that it was purchased by a dealer at auction and then moved between dealerships. The things to worry about are the accidents, flood loss, odometer discrepancies, etc.

Sounds like a clean unit -- go for it! :D

Another thing that can show up on carfax reports as listed above is warranty work, I have seen routine maintence on there too. Their is also a spot to where you can put in a report. It has been a couple years since I messed with one though. But probably still the same.

alright..just waiting on my friend to get out of the dentist and i'll be on my way to the dealer..YAY!! :) :D

well hell luis....... didn't think you were in the market..... that trucks been up there in sandy since before august...... i saw it there the last time i was coming back from kahneeta....... looks good from what i saw....

what to look for:
check tires for wear, especially the rears...... 12k miles sound still have good rubber on the original pirrelli's.... the weak link on these trucks is the clutch, check for slipage..... if it's got the stock hurst shifter, it's probably got the stock clutch.........

$25k doesn't seem too far off, but find out what kelly blue book retail is (that's generally what a dealer wants for them)..... if you trade, don't let them low-ball you on your trade by offering you wholesale, but wanting retail for theirs (oldest trick in the book)...... they've had that truck for along time & winter snow is coming to sandy - which means they'll have to wait for spring to sell it (gas prices are high,......).....
if you trade & push for $18k for your's & you give them $25k for theirs, your difference will be $7k (not bad, if your's is paid off ?)........
most of all, don't be in a hurry with them & be prepare to walk away..... it's mostly in your favor ! :)

most of all -- good luck my brotha.........
