I bought a set of wheels with slicks from HOTRAM and the rims are 2 piece and fairly deep. The problem is theyre rubbing on the brake bleeder valve. I need a way to change the offset maybe a 1/4" or so. Just enough that the beed lock screws and balance weights dont touch the valve...... Thanks guys

wheel spacers????

Where do I find them? and are they ok to use? Safe? I mean Im only needing a 1/4" or so.....

You can get some washers? I am not sure, I remember Nelson - HOTRAM telling me bout the spacing and what he used, PM FATJACK, i think they were his prior? Let us know

1/4 will be no biggie it's when you need 3/8" or more you need bigger and longer studs then youre getting into other issuses but you will be alright and any tire store or online, just google wheel spacers.

ok guys im looking around... Ill let you guys know whatever I find out...

If you can grind the bleeder you would be much better, spacers tend to cause wheel studs to break off when using slicks.

I did but the screws holding the wheels to the slicks are rubbing... so are the balancing weights

I would remove the balancing weights and see what can be done about the screws. Balance should not be that important in the 1/4 mile.

for the bleeder valve? I thought about that. Im gonna see if itll work becuase I know you can still bleed the brakes that way.... Im gonna have to spend some more time on this.....:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

It should work:dontknow: :dontknow: Kinda hillbilly but hell it'll get you down the track.

Whatever. Same concept just not as fancy as a bleeder valve. I can still bleed the brakes with just a plug in there....
