Need Some HELP!

Is there anyone who can help me with the history of my 05 RQ? Here is why I ask.

I bought it about 8 months ago in GA. The 60+ year old owned didn't know anything about it an thought it was all stock. This is what i found...

1. Lowered with Xmetal kit.
2. Magnaflow cat back
3. CAI
4. Underdrive pulleys

Now I would like to know more because I am not new to fast vehicles. I am 41 and have had many drag cars and bikes before I got married. I have been as fast as 5.20 in the eighth. I have had quite a few 10 second street cars over the years. This truck has never "felt" like a low 13 high 12 to me.

My production manager has a mustang GT with many mods that runs 13.40's. I leave him like he is chained to a bridge.
A friend has an SRT8 Challenger with every bolt on short of forced induction. Same thing as the mustang.

Today I wasted a 2009 Z06. Guy says at the next light "Damn, that is a fast truck."

I am not a rookie, but I don't know why this truck is this fast. Any ideas?
I haven't taken it to the track yet, but I am next Sat.

Have you looked under the hood??:dontknow: .........these trucks pull strong from a roll but from a dig you may find yourself looking at tail lights....otherwise who knows what your truck has mod wise...
 
Just be happy, could be the other drivers suk:D

I know my 8 wastes most 10's pretty bad, but jsut be happy bud, most likly all you got is a flash on the pcm, check see if you have a cat delete, tb, other odds and ends

I do have a cad delete. Forgot to add that. Trust me I am happy. LOL I just don't get it. I drove an 05 QC last week that felt like a turtle.

I know I don't have Striker heads, but I think someone has been in the motor. I don't think the PCM has been flashed either because the fan still comes on at 200d.

A flash does not necessarly change the fan temp....if the stat hasnt been changed not much reason to change the fan on temp..
 
When i did the work to the black truck,it got alot slower. Then i got the PCM. flashed to what i did to it and it was like night and day.

I wasn't alone. They guy with the mustang was with me. LOL We both just looked at each other with our mouths open.

Vette didn't miss a gear. I do wonder if he had the traction control on and killed the car when he nailed it. :D
 
I notice your truck is "SILVER" this explains it. Everyone knows the silver ones are the quickest 10's that were made:D Sounds like you are having FUN:rock:
 
Hey there fellas isn't there another memeber in sc close to this guy? I can't remember his name at the moment......No way you're beating even a stock C6 Z06 like that unless your motor has been opened/heads/cam......

yeah, there's a few...

robert has an s/c qc, and he lives in simpsonville, so does davo19, and i'm just north of greenville...

heads, cam and maybe even a blower wont be enough to make a 10 beat an Z06..I have driven one and they are crazy fast....the guy just didnt know how to drive or his car was not running right...the stock Z06 record is high 10s.....
