NEED VTCOA HELP!!

hey guys,
needing some vtcoa help or ideas. i am purchasing a set of bassani headers off the other forum. new in box talked him down to $500. the guy lives in lower burrell, pa (outside pittsburgh). he never installed and sold the truck because of divorce. he was asking for money order and then he would ship them. i dont feel comfortable doing that. his post on the other forum were his first (makes me nervous). so my question to you guys what would be the best way to pay for them? or if someone lives in that neck of the woods could they pick up and me pay them/ or me send the money to you and you make sure i'm getting what i am paying for. so there it is guys. HELP ME!!!
 
i'd be real careful with a one time poster like that.........:(

if you do get those shorties, get them jet-hot coated - really helps the under hood heat...... those particular headers also have problems with melting things...... good luck. :)
 
Try PMing Hamrhead. He's a super good guy. He's from the Philly area though. He may know someone on the other side of the state.

I'm sure there are others closer, but that's the first member that popped into my head. :)

real easy JTS........have him send them COD, takes a littel longer to get him the dollars, but is the honest way for that type of deal to work
 
Yup, COD is perfect for this situation.

Jimi, Philly is about 6 hours from Pittsburg, get a friggin' map.
 
I think so, if he doesnt want to do this, then it may be a bad deal, like tnviper says its the safest way for both of you. this way you are guaranteed the parts he is guaranteed the $$;)
 
I WOULDNT SEND A MONEY ORDER AT ALL AND IF THE PRICE SEAMS CHEAP ITS USUALLY TO GOOD TO BE TRUE.....I GOT SCAMMED 3,000. ON A MONEY ORDER TO A COMPANY OUT OF THE LOWRIDER MAGAZINE FOR RIMS AND NEVER GOT ANYTHING.........BUT THEY FINALLY COUGHT THE GUYS
 
guy agreed to send them ups cod. seemed very legit on the phone. said he bought em from dc perf. never got around to get em on. got divorced and had to sell truck. he knew they were no longer in production. he wanted $700 i told him $500 was all i would pay. he took it. said he is sending them on monday and will send me tracking numbers. thanks guys

Great call on the COD, done it a few times myself when I wasn't sure I could trust the seller
