Alright, so I can get an awesome deal on some Gibson Shorty headers for $400 brand new. I was wondering what yall thought about these headers and if you thought I should get them. Are they worth it. Also, what would needed to be done to the stock midpipe to run these or would they weld right up? Thanks for the help guys:rock: .

It's been my understanding that shorty headers don't really do anything for our trucks. Could be mistaken though.:dontknow:

gibsons are good for sho, dont do any better than the oem manifolds
So short headers do nothing? and long tube is the way to go? Whats the difference between the 2?

Haha, I'll take that as a negative then. Well how bout removing the 2 front cats(already have the 2 rear removed)? What all is needed to do that 02 wise?

Lt give more low end torque, better sound. IMO

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Long Tubes will increase high end horsepower whereas a shorty will give more low end grunt. It is based on backpressure and flow.

That is what I have always heard.

I have JBA/Gibson Ram Horn shorties on my 99 RAM with the 360 (5.9) and they are ceramic coated.I don't know if they help, but they really look good :D

the bissannis are very good

the problem is the the gibsons primary's are actually too small to flow any air, thus not much better than oem manifolds, jsut cool looking and cheap;)
