Need your expertise guys.....

Guys I think my clutch is about done....the other day after I did a hard
launch thru 1-2, I start smelling what seem like something that has been
burned really bad, and it wasn't the perelli's either. I've read alot of other
guys that have had their clutch upgraded and others just replaced with
the stock units. My question is $$$ wise how much would I be looking at
here....its an RC 04 35K miles...If I go with stock verse centerforce what
would my trade off be? I don't intend to race...just an occasional gallop
down the hwy. I can drive with no hint of problem now, but if I nail it
I am afraid something may let go.....thanks for listening.

i had the same thing happen to me at 15,000. i now have 38,000 on the clutch and still hasn't had to be replaced. i can still spin 1,2, and 3 chirp 4th :rock:

Since its not under warranty, I would opt for the Centerforce/Fidenza flywheel/ Viper Master/Slave kit for $1499 from one of our reputable vendors

It may actually be cheaper than ordering OEM parts

I am not sure who to have the work done by, as I don't very
many mechanics that can work on vipers. I will call the dlrship
and get an estimate. Thanks for the responses. Here's a pic...

You are in Maryland - Not to many places to let it loose without the Boys wanting to give you a ticket.
You shouild be ok for now - save $$$$ and get a clutch unit later.
I smoked mine and still driving it until dealer calls to replace.
I spray NOS and yesterday it was a blast for my Dad who has cancer!

A sure way to know how bad your clutch really is.........is too just give it gas and watch the rpms....if they go up and your not going any faster, she is slipping really bad.

Centerforce setup is awesome, I love mine.

Ditto....I am pushing 620 hp into my Centerforce Clutch and no problems.
