Alright my Lawyer and I can't decide what will be best to wear for trial. Option 1 is Suits, Options 2 is dress blues. If you don't know what dress blues looks like then just think of the movie "A few good men". http://grouper.com/video/MediaDetails.aspx?id=1620216

So there are 2 other Military Officers testifying. One on my side and one on the other. I can only control what 2 of us wear. I could go into reasons why/why not to wear my uniform, but I just want to hear what you guys think.

So picture yourself on a jury. Would you want to see the defendant in a uniform?

UNIFORM, it looks better!! good luck brother!!! you will be ok!:D :D

Well Smoke, here's the way I see it. You really only need one on that jury to at least avoid conviction. For that reason I would go with the uniform, you can almost guarantee that at least one member of that jury has either served or been very close to someone who has. And if the prosecutors witness shows up in uniform and you don't the jurors might decide that there is a reason for that, and use that against you. Just my 2 cents, but that is the way I see it.

And good luck my Friend. Keep your chin up and let them see that you are proud of who you are.

Very valid points!!!

uniform, jury will have some sort of patriotism, be hard for me to overlook that.

I agree with OCBob and Silverback.

If I was on jury I would question why your not in uniform. It is what you are.

Will

Agreed!!! UNIFORM!! Patriotism is still alive and well.

And I would say, given where you are, more than one of the jury will fit what Bob said!

Wear it bro, wear it proudly, make it the most crisp, clean uniform they have ever seen!!!!!

Go with the uniform. For me I respect a person in uniform over a suit. And I hope justice is served for you.

OK Scott, I thought about this and I'll look at it from a completely different point of view.

If I was on the Jury and you wore a suit, I would wonder why.

I'm guessing that some of the information that will be provided at trial, is your service to your country and that your service has been exemplary. So if you wore a suit, I would wonder or tend to lean towards the guilty because of a more than likely faulty assumption that you didn't wear the uniform to protect the Navy. I know that sounds stupid, but I believe there are people out there like that. Some may hear all the evidence and use there faulty brain to rationalize everything.

If you wore the uniform, its not that I would cut you a little slack because of patriotism or a sense of me owing you something. But what I would see is a Man proud of who he is, ready to face his accusers and not hiding.

You will stand out no matter what you do, so do it with Honor and commitment to the belief in the truth.

Wear the Uniform.

Just the humble opinion of a guy who's opinion is like everyone else's, just an opinion.

If you are the Man I have come to know in the last 6 or 7 months, I have the faith and the belief in what I know to be true. Wear the Uniform with the Distinction and Honor that you have always given it. Let truth be your sword.

God Bless my Friend
