Negotiating new car

sweet ride. i had a 60 model 327 4sp not original but me and my dad did a frame off on it. worked on it from the time i was 14 till i turned 16. was my first car. my brother also just sold a 65 396 4so car about a year ago. always had a soft spot for vettes.

One suggestion. Find some true knockoffs and replace the wheels. Nothing worse in my opinion than fake knockoffs and lugnuts.

Funny you say that.......the reaon I liked them was because of the lugs....I had a '66 427 vette....31k original miles....number matching.....blah blah.....with REAL knock offs....came with a lead hammer to tighten them....LEAD HAMMER...:mad: .....

Any way....one tire came completely off.....OFF..through the fender....may be the ugliest sound I have ever heard.....

So correctness aside...I will take my 5 lugs at 135 ftlbs....and skip the wire or little chalk marks that you have to check every time you get in the car....:D

Kinda like jelly beans...ate a pound of them when I was eight....blew rainbow colored chunks 20 minutes later.....haven't eaten a jelly bean since....:D
