Well, I took the dive. I am going to be picking up a 06 QC with 39k miles on it within the next week or so. The 10 is being delivered to my local dealer and I need to inspect it. I know my way around a truck for the most part and I am pretty mechanically inclined(worked on jets for ten years).

I was hoping that you all could come up with a list of things "that I make sure and check" before taking delivery and signing paper work.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Check oil cooler lines & power steering lines for leaks....very common.....make sure trans shifts correctly...doesnt hold gear too long or shift too quick or slip...

Make sure it starts:D haha j/k

I'd also recommend checking all of the gaps between all body panels, hood, and tailgate. They need to be even, if they're not, its a question mark. Check how the fenders line up with the headlights and under the hood. Bring a camera with you when you look at it and take pics if you have any questions so we can look at them.

The dealer pulled a Carfax report for me before we shipped it. It has a clean history, no crashes with only one owner. But that does not mean that the owner wasn't a body shop guy and fixed his own mistake.

I am hoping that the last guy treated it as I am going to treat it, As his pride and joy.
