I ordered the EZ Lift Too. Yes they both work together but with the EZ Lift, I takes forever for the gate to lower with the EZ Down attached. The EZ Down needs the weight of the tailgate to lower in a reasonable amount of time. I removed the EZ Down this evening and am currently just using the EZ Lift. Works great. The tailgate is feather light. Have to see how long it lasts. Got mine from 4WheelOnline.com. $24.99 free shipping.

For a $50k truck it should be a power tailgate, with remote control no less. Hell, they even have them on minivans for crying out loud.

Got mine today!

This thing works great!!!!
A woman from ezdown.com hand delivered it to me.
She took the time to explain some things about the install you all should know!

DO NOT over tighten the bolt that goes IN the tailgate, it WILL break.

Also the nylok nut should only be tightened enough so that the first thread shows, NO MORE.

And be careful the first time you close it, watch the support cable does not go behind the piston, that is what the shrink tube and foam is for.
