Just purchased red 2005 CC srt10 in great shape but I haven't owned a Dodge since my 73 Charger. I've got to tell ya, I don't know crap about this monster... Other than I got 0-60 in less than 6 seconds, "in a frig'n CC truck". I have been into LS1 (Ram Air Trans Am virt) and old school Pontiacs until this truck came along. I LIKE IT! Not as quick as my Firebird or TA but it's a frig'n truck! Did I mention I LIKE IT! I can't beleive the attention it draws. I wasn't expecting that. It's nice but somewhat annoying when someone checks it out and almost runs into me...

Do the gears shift like a sledge hammer in all these SRTs? Mine hits hard especially 2nd.

What should a 2nd key run me at the dealer? I only have 1.

What are the BASIC mods that EVERONE does when they first get their? Cold air intake, lowering kits etc...

How many of you are in Florida? I'm in Safety Harbor and have not seen any since I bought mine.

Isn’t this color “arrest me” red? The aerodynamics of RED does seem to be a bit better! I’m not sure why…
 
dude! Welcome!! I'm near you in Tampa, there is a member of this board that is throwing a party/get together this coming Saturday, you definitely should come!! I went last time the day after I bought my 05 (a few months ago) and they were really awesome people. It was a great time!

welcome ....mods are fun get a flashed pcm,cai and catch can from justin,,..and that will be a good start:rock: nice truck!!

Welcome to the forum!

First, we refer to the 4-door trucks as QuadCabs or QC's. Just to avoid any confusion. :)

1. In the QC's, I've driven and ridden in: Yes. You can make it a little smoother with a fluid change, band adjustment, and a PCM flash. It'll still pin you back in the seat. :)

2. I'm not sure on the key thing. Some came with the anti-theft chip, some without. Those with the chip are more expensive (obviously). One of the FL members here will direct you to a good dealer.

3. First things are usually CAI, cat back exhaust, and PCM flash. From there, it can get nutty. Lowering the QC's is also very popular.

4. There are so many FL members, you'd think these things were made in Tampa. LOL

QC not CC! Sorry! Extended,club cab, Quad cab. I've had a Ford f-150 for a while. I'm a fast learner though... I've always said I would not own another Dodge unless it was a Viper. I have kept that promise! Dodge has won back my heart and bill fold!

I just took it in the shorts for a new key at Autoway... $130.00
I was told the Hulkster is looking for STOCK 22s for his Ram. I'm keeping mine.
