I just bought a new set of Bassani Headers for $975 shipped.(Best Price I Found) Should I coat them now before the install. I was thinking of HPC because it is a little cheaper and looks really good.

I want to cool my engine bay so I can run cooler temps. I already have a electric fan hooked up. Any and all advice appreciated.

THANKS!

They come coated, but if I had it all to do over I would have coated by someone else them before I installed them. I don't really like the looks or endurance of the factory coating after about a year and 20k miles. I'm gonna take mine off and have them re-coated one of these days soon...

I have read a few threads about the bassani coating coming off .... What ever headers I end up getting I will have coated by jet-hot.

Cheers J.T.

Yeah.. same here.. the factory coating Bassani put on them is OK.. and thats about it... I plan on removing mine sometime here... and having them recoated... or maybe I will sell them and have a set of custom ones made... not sure yet...:dontknow:

I know that I am definatley going to be taking the supercharger off (all except the compressor head) and sending that over to be coated red at HPC.. for two reasons... one it will look cool, and two it will help keep the air temps down a bit... not much.. but some...

Is HPC a little cheaper than Jet Hot coated? Do they both have the same benefits and durability? I have been on both websites and i am leaning torwards the HPC. I have also been reading as much info on this site as possible.

HPC has three year warranty while Jet Hot warranty is for the life of the part:D :D
