New Carmaro Has High Potential for Next Daily Driver

It is definatley a sharp ride Roy... Tons of action at the NY car show. They will be everywhere once released I fear. The Challengers are few and far between. But the price is right and like the original muscle cars, it showed up late to the party.

I'd rather have the one with the Transformer option. :)

If they produce a Challenger with a Viper engine...I'm in.

But the Chevy engines are so easily modified and at no real cost...

Anyone heard rumors of a Challenger with a Viper power plant?

They made the concept, but decided to not go into production.:(

I don't think they will make it.

Challengers SRT sales were hot for awhile but a few dealers still have new '08's.

Most dealers near me have 2-8 in stock and they don't seem to be moving.:dontknow:

I tried a week ago to get one, but only one dealer would make a decent deal but it was a automatic. :(

We can hope for a V10, the new motor is sweet!:D

oh yeah as for the Camaro........keep your Volvo Roy! :)

I thought I heard the Volvo gods screaming.

How could you do this to the shoebox? Hasn't this beast given you the best part or her life? She may be ugly, but she's faithful.

I'm just afraid I'm going to read this strange and sad story about a man that was run over by his own car. It was early in the morning and no one was around to see it. Authorities are totally baffled by this accident. It appears that the man was run over and not killed. He tried to crawl away and was hit again. Initial investigations indicate that he was run over a total of 4 times before he died.

One of the investigating officers could only look at the car and mutter "Christine", appearently referring to the Stephen King novel.

Please be careful Roy.;) :D

I had resigned myself to letting the Volvo go...but you are right, that might be a life threatening move...

I do love Prof's Brick!

It's my understanding that the will make a Z28 that will have the same 550hp engine as the Cadillac CTS-V.

Now that is what I am talking about! Then swap the supercharger for the one that the ZR1 uses...and...well...I could just go ahead and die then.

Yes I have some mild mods, three inch down pipe, Motronic ECU flash, lowered two inches all around, Bilstein shocks and struts, M&D racing springs, IPD suspension enhancements, but still has the OEM turbo (16t), it dyno's at just over 300 fwhp (yup, front wheel)

Runs mid to upper 13's...not bad for a Volvo station wagon...with 160k miles.

Damn, 4 car garage, I'm jealous Prof, nice!!!

There is a lot of wisdom in marrying a woman with a Ph.D. in chemistry, and learning to say "Yes of course you are right dear!"

Oh... and it's Camaro... not "Carmaro". Sorry, I can't pass up an opportunity to correct the Prof:p

I just get excited...you should see the drool that runs down my shirt! That monster is bad!

I've tried really, REALLY hard to like the new Challenger. I just can't do it. It's way too big, to blocky looking. I like the new mustangs, they are extremely well built, comfortable, and relatively quick. But, they need a lot of extra stuff to be "just right".... and by the time that happens, they are extremely over priced.

...... This new Camaro looks to have all the right ingredients. I just wished they didn't use the 1969 style instrument cluster. I hated the original, and this cluster looks even worse. Other than that, it's got the right lines, right stance, and right price.

I love it...but where did you hide my Volvo???

Probably put it in the garage...

I am going to email this to my son...he will just die!
