Kyle how is your traction? Since I got the catless mids and DC tune my traction is for shit. Are the caltracs putting the power to the pavement?

Honestly, the way I have them set and with the spring clamps from about a 10 mph punch it sticks doesn't spin a bit:rock: I think I did 1 full turn on the caltracs. Now I haven't tried it yet from a dead stop:dontknow: Maybe I'll do that today:burnout:

I'm anxious to see how my Viper will react to the 3.55's that are replacing the stock 3.07's. They're going in on Monday!!!!!:D

Reasonably popular I guess. Some think gears are pointless being as the engine has such a huge torque curve. While others have them installed before they even take delivery of the car.

I'm doing them for two reasons.

The first is the same as the '04 truck - stock is rediculous. It'll make driving around town and in parking lot situations much easier. As it is now, just trying to idle in first gear seems too fast for some tight areas. Plus it'll be easier on the clutch too.

The second and way less important reason is for the 1/4 mile. I don't race very often at all, but stock, the car hits the rev limiter in 3rd gear just as you go through the traps. I figure with the couple of mods I now have, I'll have to go to 4th gear, but not for long enough to help. With the 3.55's, I'll be shifting into 4th and still have some distance to go before I cross the finish line.

All in all it will just be more enjoyable to drive around IMO. I still think it'll hook up pretty good - even on the street. Since I got my Michelin PS2's, traction has been greatly improved over the RunFlats.

It kinda sucks that the car won't do 195mph anymore. Only about 165 or so. What can ya do?:dontknow: :p :D

The parking lot and bumper to bumper traffic sucked with the 4.10's. I always felt the truck was going to fast in those situations just idleing.

Your car wont dont 195 now!!!!! LOL Well, the good news is think how much cheaper the speeding ticket will be at 165!!!:dontknow: LOL

Yeah man, we gotta find the upside!!!!! LOL

Same thing here, sixth gear was the mystery gear I never used or wasnt even sure I could shift into!!! At 60 mph I always put it into sixth now. I use fifth in traffic now as well.
