alright, but the bore and stroke are the same, lol pardon my stubborness but im young and dumb haha, so couldnt i use viper pistons and rods to up the compression?

No ,the pistons are not the same .Bore might be same but piston are NOT interchangeable ,and the journals on crank are different ,,plus it would be cheaper to just pull heads and shave them down to get compression up,or buy higher compression pitons for the magnum Iron 10,,If you could just use viper pistons they would not be as tough as the magnum pistons are ,,plus the iron 10 magnum pistons are half the price of the ones for a viper engine ,,you need to keep the K.I.S.S. theory

If you want more power out of it :
#1 pull heads and mill them down to get compression up to 9.5 to 1 or 10 to 1
#2 port them heads
#3 there are a couple outfits that will port your T.B. (fastman i think on dodge talk will do one for you)
#4 headers without cats
#5 gasket match Intake manifold
#6 k/n drop in ,dont get the whole k/n cai ,it is useless
#7 when all this is done slap a 75 shot on that pig

These are the best bang for the buck you can get for an Iron v10

welcome to the NUT house

yeah but i think imma like it here :D haha

and ironhead, instead of the 75 shot of goofy juice, you said people were throwin superchargers at the 8.0, centerfugal or twin screw?? and what injectors would i need to keep up with the charger?

i think procharger or paxton makes a kit... someone on here was damn near giving their truck away with a v10 and s/c...

i'm not aware of a lyscholm type s/c for that application...

Paxton had a kit ,dont know if they still do ,,there is no twin screw type sc for them anymore

i didnt figure there was but i figured i'd ask and make sure. but would the stock injectors flow enough to support the centirfugal? i understand the basic idea behind it and i like it alot. i just wonder if it would make the engine run too lean with the stock injectors.

No the stock one will not work ,you would have to go to a 65lbs set and upgrade the fuel pump in tank ,the paxton kit they are talking about came with bigger injectors ,but fuel pump you will have to do on your own ,no biggy though

so... would an electric pump from summit work maybe...? lol im sorry if im clueless but i wanna git a general idea of how much money i need to save lol i already got the trans in the shop gittin fitted with a triple disk tq converter, billit input, mid, and shift kit. that and all the whimpy stock sh1t is gittin replaced with diesel performance parts.
