Those houses are awesome guys!!! Here in NJ they would be over $750,000....:(

Same way in FL too.... That's why we're moving back up north. WAY too expensive to live down here. :(

Nice places, fellas.

I forgot to mention the taxes would be about $15,000 a year! Gotta love NJ.:argh:

Dont do it, Taxes are unbelievable. My grams house in 2600 sq feet and taxes and school taxes we are guessing at about 6-8k per year:dontknow:

I know I gotta get the hell out of SoCal. Even with the bottoming out of the market houses like that would be in the 7 figures out here in the Inland Empire. Get near the coast and forget about it.

We did find a badass house for sale yesterday down near where we went hiking. 7 acres, avocado, lime, and fruit orchards. Horse stalls and rings and the house was decent at around 2200 sq ft. Surprisingly it was only $750k, so I'm only $750k short right now hehe. It really would be nice to pick up something like that and make a living off the orchards, maybe even start a nursery. It's near De Luz/Fallbrook if anyone in SoCal knows where that is, great area.

I can wish.....................

I too am in the market for a new house damm ive been so temped to up and move to TX... Up here in the North East if your not spending 800k-1mill you wont get close to a house like that. I just came back from looking at one it was about 4100sqf for the bargin price of 700 !!!!! F*** the North east on a plane to the south.. Your roads are smoother there to both my car and truck are to low for these pot holes any more

Oh and taxes ... right now on my 2500 sqf house because it was new construction i get hit 8500 a year on taxes + car taxes every year..

Yes yes they charge you every year on a car you already own?????

We're talking Mid-west for us... not NY/NJ.... ;) Taxes for my last house in MI were about $3000/YEAR (nice neighborhood... most of my friends pay anywhere from $1200 to $2000). Here in FL, we pay almost half that just for HOA membership.

My wife and I looked for a long time until we found a place we liked away from an HOA for that reason. Didnt like someone telling when to paint or put on a new roof either

I like the HOA, I dont want people living next to me painting their house all jacked up or parking junk vehicles out front, or leaving their trash cans sitting out...just dont look good, or not mowing their yard....yeah, you would think that people would take care of that, but they dont, thats why their communities dont look as good as those with HOA's.

This is true... It all comes down to management (just like anything else). Some HOA's are a real bunch on Nazis. You get a couple of mean old ladies that have nothing better to do but walk around the sd and cite people, and your screwed.
