I took the cummins in to replace the injectors. Had more noise and vibration than normal. New injectors fixed it. Thank god injectors are warrantied for 100K. Or else that would have been $2300 out of my mod money account.
Any way while the truck was there the dealer installed a program to control the idle. It is supposed to be used for emergency use when you have to idle the truck for a extended amount of time.
It works with the existing cruise control buttons. While the truck is parked turn on the cruise control, press the set button and the idle will come up to 1100 rpms. You can adjust the rpm using the accelerate or decel button from 1100-1500 rpms.
All this was installed with a reflash of the computer. It was free of charge to me. It must be some type of TSB. Because I am out of the standard warranty.
