To be absolutely truthful, I have no interest in airplanes. They could not have paid me to attend yesterdays rollout.

And you are correct, Boeing has a lot riding on this plane. Any issues at all and Airbus will be all over our ass about it. While this still appears to be like any conventional plane, it's anything but.

Boeing just announced some additional orders, which should put them in the range of 800 planes sold to date. Figure that they are in the 200 million range per copy, well, that's a lot of zeros.

The other thing that's interesting is that usually it takes approximately 200 to 250 sold before you start making a profit. At this rate, this will be a cash cow for Boeing for many years to come.
