Hi guys

I had an 05 srt10 auto with the 8.3 , after having problem with nitrous I decided to built another motor either n/a or with a blower , thinking about roe or paxton ...


So right now I have the stuff that go on the 8.3 but the shortblok is gone , so i'm thinking about buying and 8.4 shortblock and put my 8.3 head (ported ) and erevything on , just wondering is this would fit together ?

is you have another route to suggest please comment !!what would be my best option to get about 6-700 to the wheel? this is not a dayli driver just a summer truck and want it to be more reliable than the nitrous ,

If I was you I would not try to install the 8.4, I would find another 8.3 and have it built. Then as for a blower goes, I would buy the Procharger from JMB.

So it fit but with some tricks or its a complete bolton process?

Also what is the safe rwhp limit for those motor with the blower with the stock short block?

I already destroy 2 shortblock so i would like to do it right this time .

If you are going for the 3rd strike, go ahead and forge the internals while there. You can throw anything at it after that so long as the timing and A/F is on. As far as more power, go with a Procharger and a lil meth so you can run a tad more timing under boost.;)
 
Methanol is a bandaid and bandaids fall off when you aren't looking!! Talk with your builder and set mechanical compression to match maximum boost! Save alot of problems later! Like prof preach's , Plan your build the build your plan!!
