After all the discussions (as of late) about new mebers, I thought it might be nice to make a thread for "us" to say hello, introduce ourselves and what we drive, or ask any questions about our trucks or anything in general.

Hope it works. Oh and you seasoned posters don't ho up the thread please:D

Psst: To all you new guys that don't post, say hi!!! It is nice to meet new people everyday.

To start........Hi All!

PS: Hate this thread? Sorry. Refer all suggestions to YOUR trashcan;)

 :dontknow:

Great idea tho! :) I think the New Member's Section on this forum could be cleaned up a bit. There are a few off-topic (BS) threads in there. Maybe the "Viper Girl" thread could be moved to off-topic and that would alleviate some of the problem. ;) Personally, I try to look in the New Member's Section every day or so and greet new folks.

Well guess this will make absolutely no sense then! I got a question then. Is there anyway to change how many posts pop up on the opening screen? Or any way to change howthe opening screen is displayed?

I don't think so (at least not for members.... the Mod's screen is different). I just bookmarked my "User CP" page, and have my password saved. This way, I never even look at the opening page (VTCOA home page). You could bookmark the main Forum Index page.... that would also bypass to the list of all the sub-sections on the forum. :dontknow: :) (shown HERE )

Just curious. I love like the main screen because it lists based on time not topic. Thanks for the advice. Seeing how this thread is irrelevant (never knew there was a new members section), How do I get it removed?

If you want, you can PM one of the mods and they can remove it.... Or you could have it moved to the New Members Section. :dontknow: :)

Yes there is a way to change the number of posts per page,I have done it myself, but I couldn't for the life of me tell you how I did it now !!!Me and computers don't get along too well !!

I think I might get you in the vacinity, just checked !! Go to user CP,click on edit options, and there should be a line that tells you how many posts per page can be displayed,40 max !!Hope this helps !!

Here's a way to reduce the number of pages by increasing the number of posts per page.
At the top of the screen click on "user CP" - "Edit Options" page down to "Display Options" set your post display to "40 per page" and save that. knocks the page count down considerably.

Thanks. I had already done that. I am trying to increase the list on the home page. The one with the boxes that are not categorized.
Are you talking about the "Recent Threads" listing? Here's what I do. From the Home Page I click on "New Posts" on the blue bar. That gives me a complete listing of all the threads with posts I haven't read. This way I don't have to go into each topic and look to see if I missed anything. Don't know if this is what your asking but give it a try if you haven't.
