So i hear a bunch of you guys complaining about the poping sound your exhaust makes with cattless mids.

WELL,
I bought a Gently used pair of what i thought would be JBM cattless Mids, but when they came, they had High-flow cats on them, Not a big deal, so i PortaBaned the Cats, and took them off to sell later.

I had planned on taking the pipes to a muffle shop right then and there, But noticed that the pipes had a strange curve in them right where i had cut them off, And i didn't want them to be welded in the wrong position and my mufflers not fit on right, So i got some 3 in Flexhose, and 3 in clamps, and thats where my story really begins.

After a few hours under the truck with a die grinder, i had removed my stock midpipes not problem, Then i put the new ones on, A Good fit, No problems there, I connected my muffler to the flexhose and midpipes, clamped everything as i should have, cranked it up............

And it sounds TERRIBLE, Its like a Deep Grumble combined with an even louder high pitched Screeching eco coming from the flexpipe, Plus, Every U bolted junction is leaking......

Long story Short, Its SOO BAD... DONT USE FLEX PIPE

Im going to get to the Muffle shop ASAP to get them to striate pipe that gap, now that the pipes are in the correct orientation.
I will get pics and sound up soon

With all Due respect, I dont even think im going to Let you in on that little secret......

I can here the good deep sound im looking for coming out of the tailpipes.....
Im Very satisfied with the sound the Mufflers and Mid-pipes are makings, Only Problem is, The Flex-hose just Smashes all that good sound to High Pitched Hell.

Thats the real point of this thread.

yeah the only real downside is price :( ... the only reason I don't have em...... it's aboot 1,000 bucks to install a set of 4 :(

With my truck the clamps never sealed anything............I had it all welded shut...... which equated to a huge increase in "good" tone!

The flex pipe sounds like a nightmare..........
