Just out of curiosity, roughly what et would I turn on slicks with the basic bolt ons I have? I've done some searching on here for the right tire/wheel combo w/o shaving the calipers. Mostly, what I've read is for an 04 model with 410 gears. Is there 17in tire/wheel combo I can run and not run out of gears in the quarter?

Without shaving you're stuck with 17's(I'm sure you've already figured that out) so that's 2 tire choices 1. The m&h 399/40/17 drag radials, trainman was pulling 1.65ish 60' times with them. 29.3" tall gives you a theoretical top speed of 115mph at 6000rpm in 4th gear. 2. The 28x10x17 Hoosier drag slicks, don't know of anyone running them on an srt10 but other cars I've seen using them have been happy. Theoretical top speed 110mph in 4th@6000rpm. If you don't plan on anymore mods the Hoosiers would work well, venomous1 went 12.17(I think, maybe he'll chime in) on my old 28" tall tires(28x14.5x16) and that's in a quad cab with 4.56's. If you plan on headers or even nitrous like you mentioned I'd go with the 390's as they'll leave you room to grow.

Thanks for the knowledge man, I know nothing about slicks. I've already done the headers and im stuck between a custom grind cam or nitrous. Eventually (as funds allow) I will end up doing both. Nitrous is what worrys me since im extremely un-informed about it. Just have to do my homework I guess.
