New Pet's =)

Well.. many of you know I lost my pet cat of 14 years last month.. so I went out today and adopted two today... both from the same litter. :rock:

Their names are: Piston (Black Collar), and Nitro (Red Collar)

Actually if properly trained, they will come to when when called... my previous one would come when called, and I will train these the same way.

I like dogs also... but they require TOO much attention, as I work too many hours and am away too much to have a dog.

Not entirely true. I had a cat that would come when called and taught him to shake paws like a dog. My wife answered the door once and Tim (the cat) ran outside. My wife said that Tim was out. Without getting off the sofa I yelled for him to come back inside which he did. The person at the door was awestruck since they had never seen a cat mind before. Tim also had a sense of humor. While walking across the living room he would jump out from behind the sofa as if to say Boo! and then go running away. He was also known as a Hemmingway cat from Key West. He had seven claws on both front paws. They looked like catchers mits. He was a cool cat.

One of our cats goes to bed with me every night. All I have to do is say it's time to go to bed and off he goes and jumps on the bed to wait for me.

My girlfriends parents cat is the same way... all they say is "Bedtime", and she takes off into her "own room", jumps into her "bed box", and immediatley goes to sleep, where they close the door and sleeps all night waiting till they get up in the morning.

We just got another cat last year. He plays tag/hide and seek and will actually tag you so you know you're it and he also plays fetch like a dog. I've had cats all my life and this cat is the only one to ever do these things. I can't take credit for training him to do it. We adopted him when he was 5 months old and he was doing it from the start. I love cats. Dogs are great too but they are too needy for me.
