New problem, any ideas??

Ok, so my wife drives the truck the other day, and comes back with the seat raised up almost to max, and forward pretty far, (She's short) and now the seat won't go down. It acts like there is something blocking it, but there is nothing there. It moves a little bit, but only goes down about 1 inch, then the motor makes a funny sound and it won't go any further.

Does it sound like I need a new motor, or is there something else going on??

Any ideas??

Do the front and back and tilt work,


I had that happen once, had to tilt the seat level and all the way back and then it lowered....

Never had the problem again


Yea, my Wife is short too....

motor or switch one of the 2 i would check to make sure you are getting the correct voltage to the motor and go from there

Well, all the way back didn't do it, and I am pretty sure that it is getting the proper voltage because the seat does move. It acts like it is jammed or something....

get under the seat and check that there is nothing jamming the seat in the rails. ie a penny or paper clip etc

Yeah, sounds like it's binding or something.... :dontknow: Did you try greasing or oiling the tracks and gears?
