I think something is about to give, I was on here about an idle problem not too long ago and found out this morning its not any sensor. When I started it this morning, it did the funny idle thing for a minute or two, going up and down in rpms like old cars with huge blowers do. So I got out and listened and sure enough, a really high pitch screetching sound, almost like a noisy belt. (its not the belt, just replaced it 2 months ago). Its like a pulley was stuck or something, then all the sudden the noise sounded like something got "unstuck" and went away, idle was normal. SO, what exactly is about to explode here? Oil pressure is fine and doesnt fluctuate, temps are normal, voltage is normal, everything is normal. No loss of power. Bad bearing maybe? Idler pulley going bad? What a piece of shit lol.

Idler pulley sir is likely culprit. Remove belt and spin all accessories. Alternators, water pumps, etc all have a bearing ready to seize:chain:

Both, on and off. Like Scott said, Im 99 percent sure its that gay Idler Pulley, but just wanted to see if anybody else had this same issue.

Not sure if its been brought up but double check your crank pulley/balancer bolt. Mine made a similar sound right before it threw the belt.

Yea I need to do that. Still havent done it. 83k miles too.

Could have sworn I read a thread you made with a problem as well.

Yea it we just had a tropical storm come through and I left my truck out in it. But it does it when its not raining too so..

Shame on you. I have learned livin on the coast here to NEVER leave it outside during any of the tropical storms-hurricanes. Imma get a mod to ban you for a few days for such unfaithful behavior to your truck!

Might was left out for a few days, but even I brought it in the garage for the little tropical storm.

haha, not my fault bro, wont fit in my garage! She lives out side. Its ok though I keep a shit-ton of wax on it, so really every time it rains it gets washed lol

Mine barely fits.

Mine absolutely does not fit. 2 car garage too, I even tried pulling in kinda sideways, still no luck. In one final attempt, I let the bumper hit the wall and the garage door still wouldnt clear. I live in a new house and I think they designed the garages for smart cars or something.
