Beyond the Sun....
Its called the - Ravelco Anti-Theft system.

Its completly disables the vehicle from being started or getting a fuel supply. Its not computer or electronic based, or even an active alarm system, all of which we know can and has been defeated. Its physically interupts 4 or more functions of the vehicles starting and fueling system, each car is different on how its installed and is installed in such a way that it has never been defeated in the past 30 years on over 4 million vehicles.

Its the ONLY device approved by the CESVI-MEXICO (which is a company owned by the 7 insurance companies in Mexico), it passed the 8 min and
35 minute tests and neither time were the "testers" able to bypass the system and get the vehicle started, and gave those who live in Mexico
a 12% discount on their insurance... which has NEVER been done before.

Here is a link to the system, and the dealer in AZ.

California is: www.nohotwire.com

You can also visit the corporate site at: http://www.ravelco.com/

They have information on how many other security systems are bypassed quickly (even our RFID keys, and code hopping)

And its affordable... mine was $407 w/tax installed.

At one point in time I was going to be a distributor for Ravelco. They are excellent theft-deterrents!

Good info, I'm definately going to be looking into this one once I return

Can you buy it from the company and install it yourself Yet

Nope. And from what I understand they dont plan on it. They come without instruction, and all wires are black and unmarked (5 wires), and if installed incorrectly, wrong loads, etc.. you could fry your electrical system.

Essentially 4 wires are Hot, and 1 wire is ground that ground all the points not used, there are 100,000 different combinations, and no way to tell (hence unused are grounded) if you have the right wire.

Only the installers who are trained from the factory know how to identify the configuration.

They dont want them getting on the open market (hence the reason why they have been around for 30+ years, 4 million installs, and zero thefts)

If you were to find out on ebay.... all I can say is good luck.. and god speed... at figuring out what/how to wire it up. Is $400 qualified install worth potentially frying your vehicles electrical system while trying... I know I was not willing to take that gamble.

2 wires are unmarked, 2 wires marked & one ground.
have installed several of them.
if ya want, we will sell ya just the Ravelco.
have it on my truck:rock::rock::rock::rock:

I think this device is a great investment. :hmmmm:I'm certainly interested...

I just read up on this device.. Great find. I'm gonna call for a trained installer near me.

That was how I felt about it... did not want to risk mucking up my vehicles electrical system... could I have done it.. probably so... but then I would not have a warranty, service, etc.. I would have been on my own.

Here with a authorized installer doing it..... i am covered.

what about snatch and grab, they don't waste there time out here anymore with hot wiring they just snatch it with a tow truck, so does it lock the brakes also?
