Itchy showed up for the first time in Chester J. Lampwicks movie: "Manhattan Madness". The first time Itchy showed up togetter with Scratchy was in "Steamboat Itchy" from 1928. Ever since that Itchy has killed Scratchy in all the movies they have played in, except in the unviolent "Porch Pals" and "Burning down the mouse"

Has killed Scratchy over 50 times with numerous weapons (i.e. axe, knives. chainsaw, etc.) Scratchy is his favourite victim, but he has also tried to kill other characters like Disgrunteld Goat, Marge the squirrel and Poochie.​
