Lots of options with the covers... I personally like the retrax (as you don't need to remove it to use the bed)

you're right the 05 nav DOES suck

I think a lot of us wish these trucks had 4wd... actually I'd prefer AWD (which I think has been an option on the trucks since 02...

welcome again... I'm curious what you think of your phaeton...

Thanks for all the welcomes!!! Guess I will forget the stripes done in sticker form. I want a painted to match tonneau vs. a retrax. but great idea. I have 2 other trucks for my business, so a painted cover that allows bolting of spoiler is my preference.

ref. VW Phaeton..... WONDERFUL car. AWD, and a class act for VW . Only complaint has been the Nav. system which doesn't give street names on the map. I have the V-8 and plenty of power vs. the much more expensive V-12.

The tranny is a 48RE....swap in a 4WD version along with a t-case from a 3/4 ton diesel, put a Dana 60 up front, maybe a small lift, and post up some pics...

But an all wheel drive would be sweeet!!
