DC PERFORMANCE LIGHTWEIGHT CHROMOLY FLYWHEEL
NEW PRODUCT RELEASE

We had a bit of a learning curve with the light aluminum flywheels in the Dodge SRT trucks. What worked for the Viper, sure didn't in the trucks. We found two big problems. First, the light flywheels were just a little to light for the trucks. Get stuck on a hill and you dang near burned them up trying to start. Second, the metal friction plate on the wheel just could not handle the heat generated from moving a big truck. The friction plates would retain too much heat, clutches would slip and fail and the plates would warp. Next we tried the Mopar Chromoly flywheel made by Tilton, this did the trick, it was a little heavier to get off the line and could absorb the heat. The big drawback was the price $650-$700.

Well we bit the bullet and made a production run of 100 Chromoly flywheels of our own design. We tried one in a truck and in a Viper, they did the job. The good news is the price, $429.00 for the first run. We expect our first order in the next week, so we are taking orders.

Advantages of this new flywheel:

Improved throttle response
Improved shifting under power
Improved heat dissipation
Reduduction of 30% in flywheel mass
Reduction of 9 pounds weight
Direct replacement
SFI Rated for racing
High strength Chromoly steel

I have had the Fidanza Fly wheel for over 30,000 miles along with the CF Clutch. Have never had any chatter and she still hooks really strong!!
