My wife are leaving in about 10 minutes to drive to Max Motors in Missouri (730miles) to trade my 2004 Quad Cab 5.7L Hemi for a new 2005 QC SRT10. Short of forced induction I've tried everything to get my Hemi performing like I want and just am not pleased. I expect to get the SRT10 home Saturday and will immedialtely be interested in best selections for CAI, longtubes and exhaust, and tuning.

I race at Houston Raceway Park and am interested in the least risk options of getting the truck into the high 12s.

Suggestions?

Best to all...............

Welcome to Da Club. The best bang for the buck is the PCM flash. I recommend getting a whole new PCM. That way if you need to tow or go to the dealer you can just swap out the PCM. 3 plugs and 3 screws, just takes a few minutes. But be sure to take the bottom screw out first.

Exhaust will be based on what you like. Magnaflow seems to be the preferred system but there are lots of options. Mopar, Roe, etc. I don't think any one exhaust is going to get you more of a gain over another. Good power is to be had if you get rid of your cats. Or at least get rid of the rears and go with hi-flows on the fronts.

Intake will be your choice. Some base their decision on how it looks. I think the Mopar looks nice when you raise up the hood. A quick cheap gain is by just replacing the stock filter with a K&N drop in.

Welcome!!!!

Welcome to the best SRT Truck site!

Welcome Oldguy. Smoke has great advice, I would agree with him. For the QC's the computor upgrade is the biggest gainer. This truck will be a huge upgrade over the hemi. I had an 03 myself.

Welcome to our nuthouse, the RBC.

Welcome to the house

Go with longtube headers , hi flow cats, or cat delete, magnaflow cat back, CAI of you choice, a stage II flash, shift kit for tranny, grind calipers, 16 inch rims with slicks, then later go with a paxton or a roe super charger and that will get you in the 12's easy:rock:

Congrats on the trade and welcome home. Your new selection will not make you feel like an old guy.

Perhaps you've seen me running around on the freeways of Houston..

Hello Wifey. I promise it was for nostalgic reasons. I graduated from there back in ’90. I wanted a place to snap a picture that would be away from everyone. Since the school was closed at the time I figured why not.:dontknow:

you gotta admit that A&M was playing the "kill the QB, no matter if its cheap or not(despite the fact he was already hurt before the game)" game...that was pretty gay.

Just got back with my new truck. Ordering some mods tomorrow.

I raced my Hemi (until a week ago yesterday) at HRP but live in Orange.

Thanks for the info..
