New Tire opinions

These are what I put on mine and I absolutely love them. Great traction, great lateral stiffness

They are great in wet and dry....tiny bit of noise but youwont hear them with your exhaust. I work at the Tire Rack and can get you a set for $976+shipping.

These are reported as great tires.....

The only drawback I've heard is that they're fairly soft and don't last very long....

People giving wonderfull reveiws of the general grabber uhp, its only rated at 140ish but should hold sprints to 150 without a problem. The tread pattern is killer it stops the darting effect, tire wear is top of the heep and they only cost like 135

Curious about this topic too. Been thinking about getting a set of BFG's myself.

Phil (BigAsp) bought a set of the BFG's and said they had less traction than the OEM's.

I believe he also stated that the tread width was a 1/4 to 1/2 inch narrower also.

Thats the kind of stuff I wanted to hear. We have had a bunch of rain and although it wont last I dont like the current tires in rain. I dont mind paying the extra money for a good set of tires. I just want to know that the money Im paying is worth it. Keep the feedback coming it will help.

Thanks all,

Chris

I put up a small poll way back (1 year? :p See Here) ago where the Wingless Wonder© and a few others convinced me to stay away. I must admit, the curiosity is still there. I've always been a big fan of the old BFG Radial T/A but they don't offer it in our size/load/speed.

The KDW looks like it puts plenty of rubber on the ground even for it's narrow print. Maybe the negative points of view came from driving on them while they still had the mold-release on them... I doubt it, but anyway... I've had two chances to try something different and so far I'm sticking with the Scorpions.:burnout:

I think I'm just holding out for some tires with raised-whites...:D :p
