i think that mine are w rated then....the discount tire website is wrong.....i mean this is coming from a place that had our stock tires as being 305-45-22's...sounds like we have the same tire then......thanks mike for the link...

Speed rating is pretty irrelevant isn't it ? An ocassional run up to 150 can be done on most any tire.The speed rating was originally intended for tires that would be run on the Autobahn at SUSTAINED high speeds.They indicate a tires resistance to heat deformation due to high speed and the speed at which they will retain their structural integrity.

A "V" speed rating will be just as well suited for our trucks as any other due to the fact that we have almost no place to run SUSTAINED speeds over 149 mph.

Techno experts feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I'll be needing tires soon as the sidewalls are disappearing do to road racing. Not sure what to get as a replacement but most of the tires time will be on the track. :dontknow:
