Well, at the Phoenix GTG another member pointed out to me that I had a nail in my tire... so this morning I went to Discount Tire to have it removed and repaired... only have them locate 2 other nails in the tire (total of 3!!!).

2 of them were repairable, 3rd was borderline... so I ended up buying a set of 2 new Yokahama Paradas. Because my OEM tires only had 12,000 miles on them, they were nice to me... and gave me $108 off of one tire.

They also sold me road hazard warranties for my OEM front tires for around $50... all in all the bill including tax and warranties came to $567.00...

The Yokos seem to stick better than the pirellis... I nailed it pretty hard today 3 times.. and the pirellis would just spin... the yokos.. just chirped a bit and the truck hunched down and slingshotted... so I guess I will try these at the track and provide my report to the forum.

Scott.

I got new tires Saturday. Broke down and bought a set of General Grabber UHP's. Now I know some of you wouldn't put Generals on your wheelbarrow but I like them. Turned my truck into a different animal. Instead of darting all over the place it tracks straight and true. It rides better too. Time will tell if I will continue to like them. Got a great deal also. Tires, mounting, road force balanced cost me $318. Now before y'all start asking where I got them, I had done some work on his shop doors and we worked out a trade. Saved myself $500. :D

lucky....i couldnt find any good deal and i guess i will have to get me 4 new bfgoodrich g-force because there arent often any snow in mass so i guess i will stick to summer tires

Well if you are going to quote me, at least give me credit for it.;) :D

I have had Perilli's on a couple other vehicles in the past, and because of the square shoulders they dart. It's a result of the design of the tire and all performance Perilli's I have had were the same.

John said he wouldn't put Generals on his wheelbarrow. But he hasn't tried the UHP's. :D Credit given.

Yokahama Paradas i heard they weren't as good as the pirelli's?

Well.. I wanted Pirrellis.. because they would match my front tires.. but when I woke up this morning.. the tire that had nails in it was flat.. so I aired it up enough to get to tire shop.. they had no Pirellis in stock..

So it was either Yokohama or Kumho... and so far I am happy with the Yokos... I believe alot of it has to do with the environment the tires are used in...

I find that if i park the truck on pavement they vibrate until they warm up... if i park it on gravel they don't vibrate.

deibs, serious?? i didnt know that hmm, also sometime when i drive around and stop at redlight the body of truck is vibrate but i am guessing it is just engine but i dont know

Just bought a new set of Nittos, very pleased so far. I checked prices at Tire Rack.Com and Discount Tire In Atlanta both were in the 190.00 range. So I thought I would call my local independent tire dealer just to check pricing,
he sold me the tires for 165.00 each. I was really surprised that he could be competitive with these huge stores.

nice! i need to find cheap tires price, so i will looking through tirerack.com and hope i find any
