Greetings all...
Started on another forum but have now found you guys. Although I must say, I see many familar avatars
.
It is still warm and sunny at times on Long Island so I am still driving my new rig as much as possible. Cocaine is probably a cheaper high considering the way I and many of us drive these things, but the rush you get from these things are quite special.
Also wanted to tell you all of a great little story which occurred yesterday involving myself, my SRT10 RC, a service road entry ramp to a highway, a tractor trailer in front of me heading in the same direction, dont fear the reaper on the infinity, my right foot, my right hand, oh... and the cop car sitting just out of sight before the entry ramp. I am sure you get the picture...
Rest of the story is the best though.... I flew passed the semi, blew onto the highway, then started to slow down. I did not notice the cop until I saw him in my rear view mirror (so close that a piece of paper would not fit between his front bumper and my rear). At this point I was doing 65mph along with the rest of traffic. Lights on, and told to pull over... Okay, what did I do?
Well, a young cop walks up to me and asks for the normal crap. I was still thinking to myself WTF? He asked me if I knew why he pulled me over. I could have been a smartass, but I said.. Speeding? Well, he responded, that was some show you put on for me back there... First off, I clocked you at 125mph :burnout: , then you changed lanes without signaling, but that was after you cut off the tractor trailer. At this point I knew it was over. My ace in the hole was that my father was a retied cop, but had to play that card very carefully. Nope... Came right out and said it....
Okay, abridged version for the rest....
Cop told me he had his cruiser screaming to try and catch up to me
. Asked me when I got my truck, mentioned that I was myseriously missing a front license plate
Then told me that he was going to extend a courtesy since he transferred from the same part of NY that my father was from. Finally said to keep in under a 100mph and to have a nice day.
I dodged a huge bullet on that one and said to myself that I have to take it easy.
Was well over 110mph a few hours later.
I f-ing love my truck. Too bad I am already married. Well never too late for that.
Peace...
