Hello there,
I just literally joined the club with the purchase of a 2004 SRT. I live in northern Wisconsin and purchased the truck in Indianapolis and had the thrill of driving it home, a distance of 600 miles. I currently own a 2004 Rumble bee 4 X 4 with a Hemi which I purchased a few years ago that will now be my winter "beater" verses having the SRT sit in my garage.
The SRT is a phenominal truck and I always shyed away from them because of the price and gas mileage if it was a daily driver but I finally decided that I had to have one. And to my suprize the SRT gets better fuel mileage than my Rumble Bee does!!!!
I was going to buy a SSR or a SRT and I think I made the right choice. I am looking forward to learning more about the SRT experience.

There is a Wealth of info in these guys heads on the trucks, I'm learnin ...

The difference between an SRT and the GM vehicle, is the engine. The SRT engine is of Italian design and is a limited application. The other is not.

You are gonna love your truck and this forum, Don't spend a penny on mods before you check em out here, it will save you money and time.
