Picked up this little scooter today, 07 Honda Shadow. Its for my wife to learn on, but when she upgrades Im gonna chop this thing up into an old school bobber. Works out great, now I dont have to chop up the Harley! The Harley has an unbalanced engine, so at red lights I am literally bouncing around. You can watch the front tire move around on the pavement. But this thing…..hell man you can barely tell its running, and its quiet too. Smoothest ride ever on any bike Ive ever ridden. I kinda hate to chop it up but hey, gotta do what ya gotta do right?

Working all those hours is paying off!

Just give me some time. Like I said its the wifes starter bike. Hopefully when it gets bobbed it'll be a badass little bar hopper. Probably do a flat black, red rim, whitewall theme. Maybe an Army theme, who knows.

Just a little update. Got wrenching on this thing today and managed to actually get a few things done. First thing was to take a 2 inch hole saw and drill out those baffles in the exhaust. They were welded in. Sounds a LOT better now. Then I had to get rid of that huge plastic piece of garbage that hung off the back fender. Literally just sawed it off, and relocated the plates on the side. Put in a small light box on the fender to shine on the plates to stay legal. Had to build the license plate mount. Cost me about 15 bucks when everybody wanted over 100 for the same thing. Next I reversed the risers and lifted the bars and controls for a mini ape look, again….free. Also added some vinyl stripes and removed the stickers on the tank. Oh and tinted all the turn signals. Still unsure about the stripes. Just vinyl now for a mock up, deciding on paint. Cant wait to bob this thing out. Im gonna have to build the kit, Im not paying 400 bucks for a piece of metal and some new shiny bolts.
