Why do these owners think they have bought a fast truck? I keep getting challanged by these things. Hell it is killing my tires.lol I have been letting the rear break lose just to leave them in a cloud of smoke. Come on guys Toyota is advertizing how this truck stops not goes!!!!!!

the problem is they are told at the dealers they are getting the fastest truck on the road....because they are for the 2007-2008 models.......but they dont remember our trucks...so these guys buy thinking they have the fastest trucks not knowing what else came before them.

I think The Hemi Trucks would be good competition for the tundras what do you guys think?
 
Yep, get it all the time.....

Most of the time I just ignor them
 
Toyota puts lots of emphasis on the "381 HP" in their advertising..the dealers probably point out the fact the Tundra has more HP (381) than the 5.7 Hemi (345 thru 07...375 for 08).......I would say most of your Toyota challengers do not even know what an SRT10 is...they see Dodge and think hemi...so you have probably pissed off a bunch rice owners who thought their rice burner could smoke a Hemi truck..;)

Toyota also used to say, "Largest brakes ever put on a pickup"....
....but had to remove those ads quickly after doing a little research. :D
 
When I had my truck I was never challenged. I would pull up to them and just stare and wait. They would pretend that they couldn't even see me.
 
OMG!!! 381hp... I'm sceeeeered now....

In fact I had a run in with one of these dip-sticks a few days back... I was in my dually diesel cummins (my new 07 w/ 6.7l), and I held bumper to bumber with him.... can't wait to find the same moron and show him what real detroit power is all about...
 
Someone said 375 HP for the Hemi Ram in 08. This is not correct. It is still 345. I would expect more HP for the new 09 model.

My error...got my years mixed..I had read that the 2009 would (maybe) have 375....2008 is 345 or 330...depends on what article you read...dodge.com says 330...but anyway..:dontknow:

I was only dissing the rice..... not the dodge stuff... at least the dodge owners know what the SRT line is.. and that its something to not mess with......

Maybe I will take the truck out tonight and go on a Yota hunt... :D :elefant:
 
I did some paving at a toyota dealership here in Atlanta
and the owner of the place keep running his mouth dodge is crap
and that there trucks r just an all around better and faster truck
and the thing with the brakes he just would not shutup about the brakes,
So i went back home and got my truck, proved to him that the srt ram's brake
are bigger, then i smoked all both trucks he got out to run

I had a big deisel burner pull up along side me today at a light, It was a sleeper very quiet at idle, slight turbo whistle is all I heard. We both took off normally and layed ino it progressively, We stayed even until the Vec kicked in then I was pulling away but his exhaust was so damn loud and I was worried about cops that I hit the rev limiter, he shut down at the same time!!

We were both craneing our necks to see if johnny law was gonna get us, we thumbed up each other and went on our way!!:rock:

I know one Tundra owner who knows better...my brother..he recently bought an 08 QC Tundra...he has driven my truck..he hasnt even mentioned power to me..:D ......I also told him to keep that rice burning furing thing out of my driveway...............;)
 
A stock tundra and a stock L would make for a good race.
 
guy that I work with bought one about 6 months ago.He was talking chit how he was going to beat me bad with his new ride.Well long story short, I kicked his ass not once but twice and now he just keeps his mouth shut about who has the fastest truck.!!!! They are pretty nice trucks though.Rides very nice for a 6k sled.Probly would give a hemi a good run for the money!!
