I live in a small town about 20,000 people. I have had the only SRT-10 here for the past year or so. I was in town last night and a black 05 pulled out in front of me. I got behind him and pulled him over. I pulled beside him and it was a 19 yo boy with a babe sitting beside him. He just got the truck yesterday. How the hell do 19 year olds afford a $40,000 truck. Could he even get insurance on the thing. O well if he can afford it he should have it. I know I couldn't have at that age.

Well, nowadays you can pick up a slightly used one in the mid to high 20's.

There goes the neighborhood :rolleyes: :D
 
What a crime! I pay 50gs and have 8k miles and drove it for about 4 months......NOW it worth 25k and Ive put 50g's into it! Expensive habit!
 
I am not trying to gloat here so don't anybody start any s**t over this:p , But I was able to pick mine up for $34,500. Other wise there is no way I would have one.
 
Same here,Here localy in california the RC were going for 41,900 minimum.Looked on Ebay and got my 04 for 32,900 in oct of 05 with 80 miles on it.That was before the prices dropped.On the other hand a member of this forum who wrecked his 05 just found an 06 RCfor 32.900 on ebay as well.Im almost tempted to get an 06.The only thing stopping me is that the 06 rc has no center jump seat.:(

My buddy bought his NEW 04 for 29,995.00!!! Had like 92 miles on the clock! I was sick. If I had known that Id bought it before he did!!:D :p

I have pretty much the same truck as you but I paid 20k more! In fact, I have had mine since last May and still owe more on it than you paid, now that sucks.
 
Yesterday I saw a silver RC *fly* thru the intersection by Staples at the Easton mall. It might have been VTCOA member Pete, but like I said, it was moving quickly. :)

For the last year or so, I've seen this guy in our neighborhood with a red QC Hemi who's done everything but add the engine to his truck trying to make it an SRT-10. Friends have called me asking if I've seen it, and I always sigh and say "Yes...it's close, but it's not the real deal."
Last week, he finally saw me. Jaw meet floor; floor meet jaw.
:D If I didn't have the stereo so loud, I probably could have heard all the wind rushing from his sails.

So who won?
 
I bought mine when they were hard to find here in California. Had to pay for it also, dam it! $45,600 :mad:. Times are alot different now. I looked at a QC Night Runner srt 10. Has a sticker of 54,8xx and they are willing to sell it for $12,000 off. I was like WTF! I'm thinking of buying it if I can get the right trade in for one my other cars or trucks.:dontknow:

Hey, I looked and looked till I found the most expensive one I could find....

At least thats what is seems like. Could have got a black or silver much cheaper locally, but no, I had to go to Idaho and get a RED One

when i bought mine 2 1/2 years ago....with tt&l paid $51,000 and some change,told my wife its a collector, a good investment!:flute: she has no idea what they are going for now! and its a good thing they are rare,there is no one to tell her different! :argh: :listen: i have no regrets i paid that much :eviltongue:
 
When I bought mine in June 05 (new 04) I thought $39,500 was a freakin STEAL. At the time I hadn't seen one sell for any cheaper. Used 04s were still fetching 40K. Right after that they really started going low. My neighbor just bought an 05 RC new for $34K.

I am still very happy with my deal though.:D
 
I bought mine in December of 04 . I paid 45k and drove 1300 miles each way to pick it up. I still wouldn't take the 45k back for it though and don't really give a flip how cheap they get. Frig the gas prices.

OK, I AM trying to gloat here...so deal with it. I paid just $20,000 for mine two months ago on ebay. Of course it has a salvage title and I had to fly to Kentucky to get it, but I still saved a bundle and everything works great!!

Thats a pretty good deal considering the title. Did you get told what happened to it, and how bad the wreck was?

Actually, what happened was they took two trucks, one was rolled, and completely wiped out and unrepairable and the other was stripped, a theft recovery. They took the parts off the rolled one and built the theft recovery back to normal, so my frame, body, etc, have never been wrecked. The only drawback is that I have 12K miles and no warranty!! Oh well, I race the truck so it would get voided eventually anyway.
