I live in VA and the local news and the newspaper said it has in fact passed and goes into effect July 1.

The governor is getting calls and letters from angry residents that the new laws are unfair in that they don't apply to non-residents.

For those that are gun owners,did you notice some of these offenses are now felonies ? Felony = no more guns

yeah, i found out it has passed. gay, but you have to get 4 tickets in something like 2 months for it to apply to you. it applies to the people that have a crappy record really, except i think the price of wreckless is going up and stuff. all this is gonna do is gonna make more people run. espically bikes!!! i've been reading on the bike forums and pretty much everyone in VA has said that they arent stopping for the cops anymore, they would rather take the chance and run.

These new laws shouldn't be a big deal for anyone who drive like a normal adult. The only people who should be freaking out are the ones who drive like retards and continue to frive like idiots even after they get caught. I appreciate the update though Rick. Hopefully VA will take this money and fix some of these crappy roads we have around here.
