New Watch Time- Need Suggestions

I really like the Citizen Blue Angels watch and Shawn's new piece is beautiful....Never liked Citizen and always been partial to Bulova, Seiko and Invicta.....But I have seen some of Shawn's stuff and it has me thinking differently :D Love my Seiko monster dive watch with the orange face :D

very, very nice..

I agree... Suunto is a nice brand... For a "beater".

I'm sorry, Kevan... Either you want a GOOD watch, or you don't. :dontknow: (Rolex doesn't make a ani-digi anyway... so you won't have to worry about anyone suggesting one.)

If you could reconsider getting a watch that might last you more than 6 years of constant beatings.... I would suggest a nice TAG Monaco, or a Omega Speedmaster. :dontknow: .....

But, I suppose Casio is a nice watch, if you want to buy a new one every year or three... :dontknow:

maybe they have a women's version?....:dontknow: :D
It'd be funnier if it weren't true.
What I need something in between Mens and Ladies.
The new G-Shocks are just silly-big.

Presto...not what I'm looking for! :D

38mm is about my max face size.
10-12mm is the max thickness.

That's cool, but I can promise you that a Tag, Breitling, or any other 'uber brand' won't last 1 week on my wrist. Plus, I don't feel like flushing X(X),000 dollars down the toilet when they tell me that the damage caused to the face while I was pulling the oil filter isn't covered under warranty.
Remember: I killed *two* Swiss Army watches. On one of them, Loki (one of our p-dogs) bit the watch from the side and the bezel shattered.
This G-Shock has barely survived 6 years.

Like I said, I'm not into show.
I'm into go.

I wear my TAG Carrera EVERY DAY.... I change the oil, hammer dry-wall and concrete, ride the motorcycle, use a impact driver, shower, shave, shit..... The watch never comes off.... I've dropped it on concrete, cooked it, burnt it (damn near... long story. )... It has a TRUE sapphire crystal (bezel windows, front and rear). This is the hardest surface next to diamond.... Your dogs CAN NOT break this, trust me..... You get what you pay for, Kevan...

But, you don't want a Analog.... :dontknow: (Even a Chronometer??? :( :dontknow: :( ) There are only a few GOOD "Ana-digi's" out there, and they range from about $1500 up. And you'll be HARD PRESSED to find anything less than a 40mm case these days. If you don't want to pay that, then I would suggest a Citizen Eco-Drive, or Seiko from Walmart.

Take a look HERE: http://www.watchuseek.com/site/forums.htm (Kind-of like the SRT10forum) or http://www.timetechtalk.com/ (Kind-of like the VTCOAforum ;) Look through the "What are you wearing today" threads... Some of the best watch photogs on the net post up... you might find something you like! :nurse: ).............. Lot's of good folks on those sites. :) browse the forums and check them out.

Sorry... Bad analogy... TJ MAX, JC Penny, Sears, or Steinmart then.... :D

EDIT: Kevan, I'm not trying to be an ass, here... .... Why don't you give us an idea of what you're willing to spend, and that would be a good start. :dontknow: I've collected timepieces for a long time, and I can get a little "opinionated", sorry. ..... I'm sure you would understand, If we were talking about guitars. ;)
