It's a fun car, and has more power than expected from a 1.4. It also has plenty of room and 37mpg is awesome compared to her the Trailblazer SS at 14-15mpg!

VW uses a DSG trans. Far from being crappy. can take over X2 the factory rated HP.

There is guys running stage 3 kits pushing 450WHP using the factory DSG trans. Just saying

I don't know what ford or dodge uses.
