Sorry fellas for the newb question.. but I need a lil info. Is there any difference between the 05-06 quad cab srt-10s besides from the interior cosmetics? there doesnt even seem to be that much different there as well.
i'm referring to mechanical differences, any issues with the 05vs06 etc.?

There are some small differences between the two, but I couldn't tell you exactly what they are!

Do you have a truck? Are you getting one?

Man , you would have to do some research on this , because from what I understand they are two entirely different trucks.
Frame,
bed
interior
body

but the basics are the same, tranny, engine , rear axle.

Some of the mods guys are having troubles with such as the magnaflow, cai's and such, so really not too sure.

big improvements on the frame/bed/body or just minor visual tweaks oon the body/bed? i've seen the interior changes, they arent huge, but they are noticeable, i actually prefer the seats in the 05 vs the seats in the 06 (visually, have not sat in either).

considering buying one, but the trans am has to GO first. e-4 pay doesnt cover a house and 3 cars :-(

I think the 06's are on a 2500 frame or at least have a longer bed. The 05's are on the 1500. Seating is 5 for 06's vice 6 for 05's. New dash and DVD nav available. Other then that I don't know what else is different. Wait the front end is different. Welcome to Da Club!!

thanks man.. i know you on gulfcoast muscle, i'm on the same screen name there.

is there any difference at all in the motor? i know some year vipers differ in motor internals but had the same power (such as forged pistons or not etc.).

roughly how much power is the motor capable of handling stock?

I knew that name sounded familiar. I'm fairly certain the motor is the same. Now that I think about it, it is still the Gen 3 engine. There might a difference in the timing to maybe gain a few more HP. But a flash will do the same thing and actually net you even more gains.

In my opinion, there have been very few instances when guys have purchased one year or the other and then wish they'd opted for the other truck.... We kind'a fall in love with what we have.

I have one of the first SRT-10 trucks made #131....So I'm sure a number of small changes have been made since it was built.... But I personally don't care anything about changing to a later year truck....
