If you are new to the site and are afraid of asking questions that have been asked a million times this is our thread.....Ask anything your heart desires without the fear of reprisal...But do note sometimes stupid questions get stupid replies and don't get upset by some razzing it happens to everyone :D
So enjoy and ask away, and once again welcome to the forum there are alot of great people who will do there best to help.:D

Nice...and YES...sticky it on the main page with super glue...and a warning label that says "WARNING FEELINGS MAY GET HURT" Symptoms may subside after a few posts and are only temporary.:D :p :)

Good idea DD.:congrats:

Maybe the mod's should consider making it a Sticky.:dontknow:
Thanks but I kinda stole the Idea from a site I just joined for blackberry's it's called crakberry.com:D They had a section for newbs like me, plus I felt that way when I started, but when I did ask I got a flood of great info and new friends.:marchmellow:

I will start off
I have put my truck to bed for the winter and am wondering IF I let my battery die would I lose the B&M tune on the computer. I have a battery trickle charger and haven't hooked it up for fear of damage to the battery. I was told to get a battery tender by Billy and ended up with the trickle charger instead...there is a second question in there I guess

Just get a timer and hook the trickle charger up to that. I have mine away for the winter also. I put a block heater on the thermo stat housing and I just start it once a week. and stabil is a good Idea, heat works fine to but stabil keeps it from turning to kersone. But to be honest with all the additives in fuel the main concern is water in the fuel and lines. Just a thought.

I have put Stabil in and do start it once a week. I am a bit ignorant on the block heater???

Would'nt heating your whole block that you live on be kind of expencive?:D

The one I have I get for the dump trucks at work. All it is is a magnectic heater since our blocks are aluminum the best place is thermo housing or if you have a roe the intake will work also. You can get them at napa for under thirty bucks. The new version of these work great. It keeps the fluids warm in your vehicle for easier start ups in the winter less wear at intial start up over cold fluids.

not if your stealing the electricity in the first place.:marchmellow:

No, If your tune is in the pcm you should not lose it. It is the same as disconnecting your battery. But you might want to ask them.

Thanks for the input and great thread idea

I'm going to look into the same things mentioned above. Good question. I really thought block heaters were only for diesel motors. I'm getting one now. Thanks for the question and answer DD and Demon8
