Greetings everyone....

Aside from doing the Magnaflow CB I have done nothing. Many have responded to my questioning about future mods and what they can offer.

I wanted to know what you guys think. I am not looking to spend a ton of cash right now so I was thinking of building slowly. I am kicking around doing a CAI. K&N and the Volant seem like the two to look at. I have seen that some say the K&N actually does not better than the drop in type (even some saying it loses some HP). The Volant seems very interesting but expensive for just a CAI. I can get a K&N drop in on ebay for $45 and the CAI for $260 new.

So CAI next feasible mod and not looking to SC anytime soon.

Any other advice?:dontknow:

Inexpensive mods???If you can do the work yourself, the parts are roughly:

Drop in filter- 45 bucks
Cut muffler, straight pipes - 35 bucks and/or
Cat delete - 35 bucks
Rear leveling kit - 100.00

That should get your started :)

I have heard that the CAI make the engine lose some of horsepower or gain a little because of overheat or something. Maybe I am wrong. For myself, I went with K&N drop-in. JMB CAI are really looking good. My suggest is go with JMB CAI or K&N drop-in.

In NY I wont be able to pass inspection without cats. I could go with high flow cats but how much benefit do you get from that?

I want to do Belanger long tubes down the road, adding HF cats affect that at all?

What is the main purpose of the leveling kit?

Thanks bro... That is one nice looking kit and very inexpensive. :D

Is the red color on his site the match to the valve covers?

treker - get catless mids and go to God's Way auto in deer park and he will run the "emission" test for you. Catless mids...catless mids...catless mids. He put mine in my truck.

Thanks for the tip. If I add headers later will I need to modify it again? What about the engine light issues that come up by deleting the cats? :dontknow:

got my mids from boomer...no engine light cuz he has 02 sims with them. I shoould have headers on by year end so will let you know how that goes. I know a bunch of others guys that could help you with emissions. another good place for the install is american thunder mufflers in westbury, they did my mustang about 5 yrs ago. where you at on LI???

I live out east in Ridge. Exit 68 on LIE but work in Lindenhurst. I am right near Deer Park, my office is actually off Grand blvd. Been trying to find some local SRT guys to cruise around with but not much luck so far. Actually tried getting you on an early post but you moved to AZ I think right?

yep down in AZ now and loving it. when I come back home to visit i will let you know. I was in sayville down on the south shore the last couple years, westbury before that. In the summer there is a car show in oakdale every thursday I think, remember seeing some SRT guys there!!!
