I've been told that you're the guy to talk to when it comes to nitrous. Being that I have no experience with nitrous, I'm not even sure where to start. Here's what I have to work with. I have diamond forged pistons, a 708 comp cam, long tube headers, high flow exhaust, and the B&G stage 2 tune.

Now I'm looking for an economical way of giving me some strong power whithout having to worry if I'll be dropping in a new engine after I hit the switch.

Well. youve come to the right place..dont know who you were sending that to, but there are more than a few with experience with the laffing gas..Give them a bit to chime in, and Im sure someone can help you..

Oh..sorry..for Justin at JMB..I need to learn to read the WHOLE post..hehe..

For your truck, your still stuck with the stock rods, so I would limit it to the 175HP increase or less. The B+G tune would have to go or run race gas when spraying since your timing is increased over stock with that tune.

Let me know if you have any other questions,
Justin

It picks up over 175WHP and 300 WTQ in the midrange, dont just look at the peak #'s :D My jetting is a two stage system, 2) 38 N20 pills wet, and 1) 35 pill dry (125/50). A wet only 175 would probably pick up a little more torque as well, but on 22" rubber I cant spray a 175 off the line, but I can hook the 50 dry shot.

what about just a 150 wet shot?? it'll be a little while before i get nitrous but it is gonna happen sooner or later, i want to run high 11's at least....working on traction first though

What do you need to know?

would it be safe to use? or would i be driving a time bomb? i noticed you use the 125 wet with a 50 dry on top of that, does that give you more torque?

Its as safe as any other power adder for the trucks, no matter what route you take, stock pistons and rods are the weak link. An all wet 150 would make more torque than a partial dry shot.
Justin

ok, then maybe i should start with a 100 wet kit then? what would be a "safe" power level that the engine could stand up to(i know that some are diff than others and so on..) just as a general rule of thumb...

General rule of thumb is under 700WHP on these engines, but some blow up stock and some make 800+ for a while, so you never know.
Justin

ok, i guess i'll shoot for 600rwhp and see what kinda times i can get out of it, then start saving for the forged goodies...and a new clutch
